Growing up fast: agricultural film

Agricultural films are evolving rapidly as the industry moves towards more technically sophisticated materials. While polyethylene remains central, innovation is increasingly focused on improving optics, durability and functionality to boost crop yields and reduce material use.
At the same time, sustainability challenges are driving interest in biodegradable and degradable mulch films, advanced UV stabilisation and tailored formulations for different crops and climates. As regulatory pressure and recycling costs rise, material science and additive technology are playing a growing role in shaping the future of agricultural film applications.
